I'd love to be part of this excellent initiative. I'm a current
trustee of Wikimedia UK, who promotes Wikipedia and other free content
in Britain. I've also done quite a bit of research on my own family
tree, both via ancestry, the leading commercial provider and
www.werelate.org, the leading free content hoster of family trees.

Two questions to open the discussion:

a) what organisations are you open to partner with? I notice you have
FreeBMD, OKFN and ORG at the moment.
b) what geographical area are you concerned with? Is it just the UK or
is it global?
