Exciting news!

Today the archive of Leiden (Netherlands) announced that their
genealogical data is available as open data! Both metadata and the
corresponding images are provided under a license CC0 (no rights
reserved)!

The data (births, marriages, deaths, baptisms, burials, etc.) can be
harvested via OAI-PMH, the OAI-PMH is modeled after the A2A metadata
model of WieWasWie.

The "datablogposting" (with end-point URL) is available here (Google
translated in English):
http://translate.google.nl/translate?hl=en&sl=nl&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.opencultuurdata.nl%2Fwiki%2Fregionaal-archief-leiden-genealogische-data%2F

For those who want to dive into this data right away, I've posted a
simple Perl harvester, this is provided via

Regards,
Bob Coret
